David Tomlinson
I'm a systems-thinker, living in South West England, with my family.
My career started as a 16 year old railway signals apprentice and ended up with me holding patents relating to encryption and working in the cybersecurity industry.
After a short break, I'm now doing diagnostic work, for businesses where something has gone off the track and the root cause is unseen.
Like the railway signals work, developing and marketing encryption products teaches a quite specific way of thinking.
Morning waits is a synthesis of the information I worked to understand in my particular way, in helping someone close to me, who like many others was struggling to reconcile with the world he was being asked to participate in.

Early in my career, I jumped tracks, and went from being a recognised industry expert, to being the most ignorant person in the room. I was expecting the steep learning curve, but nothing could have prepared me for the superpower of being able to ask 'dumb questions'. This sparked a life-long love for the philosophical, as both entertainment for my curiosity, and a functional way of seeing life's challenges.
